I'm guessing it isn't oil, but it is black and does look like oil which got me worried, I'm going to clean it up better and see how much drips onto the fairing. If it was a real oil leak I think it would leak as the bike was off and as soon as i turned it on to go ride. so I'm assuming it's just the chain lube/grease going all over

and oil will form a puddle - that will just seem to get everywhere.

 

I checked after cleaning it up today, there was no black "oil/grease" on the bottom fairing today so all is well.
