best chain opinions
Could I do a 16 44 set up with this chain ? http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?n...d=360459682390
when you purchase it - if you go 530, you need to get a 16t 530 front sprocket, and a 44t 530 rear sprocket.
5 is how long the rollers are apart and chain pitch- and the 30 is how wide the chain is.
if you want the 525 chain on that site, you need to get a 16t 525 front sprocket, and a 44t 525 rear sprocket.
but that's a rivet type chain - do you have a rivet tool to make the master link work? they also have clip style master links - but obviously, they're weaker, and you're getting up there in hp - so i wouldn't really suggest that to you (even though a good pair of plyers can make those works).
I can borrow a chain breaker and rivet tool. Ok thats what I was trying to figure out. What the 525 and 530 thing means. As for 525 or 530 the only real advantage is a 530 is stronger but heavier and vice versa ?
yeah, the first number (5) is the pitch - distance between rollers
and the second number (30) is the width.
sprockets have to match what the chain is.
