Default Bar end problem.......

The 954 I just bought didn't have bar ends on it. I ordered a pair and when I put the throttle side on tight, the throttle wouldn't hardly twist. As I loosened the bar end , the throttle loosened up. Is their an internal problem or a "special" way of tightening the bolt that holds it on?
It's the correct bar end with the protruding half circle, so that's not the problem, or at least I don't see it as 1. It is an after market end, not OEM Honda ???
Thanks

And PLEASE go vote for Ironshead or AJZCAMARO to win BOTM, we can NOT let the "other" bike win. I couldn't care less about winning and wish the 3 votes I have could be transferred.

You need a spacer/s between the throttle tube and the bar-end. This allows the throttle to turn freely while securing the bar-end. I used a couple of washers.

Thanks Ern,
Went back and took a better look and here the problem was the grip was rubbing too tightly against the bar end, stopping it from turning freely !!!

Thanks again tho' !
