Default 2nd gear clutch ups

I'm pretty sure this topic has been beat to death, but I'm still struggling to find an adequate exchange of ideas for whatever reason. I'm running a pretty stock bike and I find that it will clutch up a little as low as 35-40mph, but I did it at about 70 just now and it shot right up smoothly. Would anyone agree that 70ish in 2nd is right? Note that when I give the mph, i refer to what the speedo reads.

Maybe you should ask it in the stunters section.

70 mph on a stock geared bike sounds about right. I have an 02 and she's geared -1 + 2 and my best wheelies come up around 50 mph..My bike would be screaming in 2nd at 70 mph...the slowest speed that I would ever attemp a 2nd gear clutcher is 30-35 mph...hope this helps...be safe
