I have an 02 954rr and it won't start for whatever reason. I was hit by a jackwagon in a Chrysler sebring two months ago and my bike did a cartwheel or two. I had the bike towed home and it started up no problem so i put it in the garage and started it a few times here and there until one day it wouldn't start? I checked all the fuses under the seat they all test good. It turns over but wont fire. I drained the old gas and put in new and i can smell gas if i crank it over for a few try's. I've replaced all the broken body panels and all that. The miles on My instrument cluster are not reading so i'm thinking it's having an issue.

The bike stopped starting before i did my tear down, i was hoping to find a clear reason for it not starting once i pulled it apart but no luck. The bank angle sensor is intact and looks to be untouched but it could be bad? I just realized awhile back before the crash i did pull the instrument panel and it wouldn't start but once i plugged it in it would start so i need to know if i can bypass the instrument panel to start the bike.

I do hear the fuel pump come on when i hit the key to the on position, I took the sub frame off and the upper fairing assembly but like i had mentioned before the bike quick firing before i did the tear down.

The frame is good, swing arm is good, forks are good rims are good. The subframe was bent but not cracked, the upper stay brackets were broke and bent, left foot control bracket was broke, front brake reservoir was gone, upper fairing was trash, windscreen trash. Amazingly enough the headlight was basically perfect.

 

Any and all help is appreciated I'm fighting Geico with my Lawyer Russ Brown and according to him I'm going to be without a vehicle or money for awhile and i travel 120 miles round trip five days a week so i need to get this bike back on the road yesterday.

 

I bypassed the bank angle sensor and no start, I also bypassed the clutch switch and no start. My battery is now dead so its on a trickle charge for the night ill be back at it tomorrow.

 

You may need to replace the spark plugs at this point. at least pull them and see if they are wet with fuel. It sounds like you have fuel, but no spark.
