Default starter switch problems

alright everyonce and awhile when i flip the kill switch to start and go to hit the button nothing happens but then i sit and keep pushing the button and eventually it will turn the starter and start the bike this has only happened a few times while i was on a really long trip i fave a feeling it might be a bad switch or loose connection somewhere anyone else have this problem before?

Sounds like the first place to check would be your switch for a looseconnection or broken wire.

I have not come across that problem. But, it's easy to trouble shoot.

yea it turns out it was a loose ground off of the starter and a loose wire in the switch must have been from my long trip so i went through the whole bike and tightened everything up properly so we are all good thanks for your input

I must have the same problem. The solenoid works good with a charge across the terminals. So I am guessing it is the button starter. What should I look for in that assembly ???
