It's cool! I just wanted to know if 2 hours worth of labor is reasonable for removing tires and pressing out bearings (remind you that the tires are OFF the bike already). I'm sorry for such a confusing thread.....[sm=headbang.gif]

With a smoke break and a cup of coffee! No really I work in the auto industry everything from ground up from fab to paint and on. That sounds like about twice as much as needed. They are probably quoting flat rate which is what the book calls for. You may know but thats how they make the money, beating flat rate. Try a custom shop like me(cars or bikes) that charges by true time. I bet they can do it in less then an hour if they are honest. Messed up but it is like that.

JMO but I think straight up white.

Paying someone to remove bearings is like paying someone to change a tire. Seriously, just get in there and do it.

As far as putting them in, it's a bit of a different story, but still. All it takes is a little time and basic, basic tools. Like a hammer and large socket.

I do dig those wheels though - I like the red/white combo, but I'm not so sure about allwhite wheels. I just keep picturing the original Hurricanes and while I gotta pay my respects, the Hurricanes were/are fugly.

Well, I appreciate all of the opinions on the rims, but I turned them in the other night to the guy and the choice was..........all white. I just didn't have the ***** to see if the red/white would look alright on my bike. I think I'll be happy with the whites though. And I found a guy at my mom's shop who is going to press the bearings in for me. I'll probably pay him $40 for doing it because he's done some other stuff for me too off the record. But I can't wait til I have my bike back!! It hasn't even been a week, but the weather's been nice down here!! [:@]

The all white wheels will look soooo good! Just look at those big ugly black shoes on your bike in the photo. You won't regret it! My dealer had my bearings removed AND installed, plus tires off and on - balanced, in an hour. $70 total. Maybe you should try a new dealer from here on in.
