So I don't think i have one, but where are common mounting locations for Power Commanders? where does it plug in to, so i can trace wires? What does it look like?

 

A little black box with 'Power Commander' on the side. Mine is in the trunk. The harness will be big Y connector under the tank on the right hand side.

 

thanks mark. what does the Y plug into? I've seen some pics online and it's def not plugged into the ECM, as i had previously assumed.

Reading the instructions can be helpful.

 

Right. If memory server there is a big blue connector (under the tank, right hand side, tucked against the frame) that connects the ECM to the injector harness. The PC Y takes the ECM signals, remaps them, and passes them over to the injectors.

When I installed mine I chopped a notch out of the truck front wall to fit the cable and then velcroed it in place. I am not sure that there are too many other places for it to go, though I am sure that there are others. This is just the most obvious.

 

yeah mine is in the trunk too. hooks in to the main injector harness and also has a ground wire that runs from your negative terminal on your battery to the power commander.
