Default New to this forum. Idle question

This is my 1st fuel injected bike, and my first litre bike. I just got my 929 two days ago, It cam with a full two brothers exhaust. I know I need to buy an air filter and power commander. But how do I adjust the commander? And I also want to know what your idle rpm is? The rpm on my bike when I am In neutural is 1k rpm. It that normal? The bike I had before was a zx6r 2000 model and its idle was 1.5k rpm. If it is lower than normal how may I fix this? I know I should get a valve adjustment but yeah... how else can I fix the idle? If it is low.

Thanks guys

your idle adjustment is ...when your sitting on the bike...look just behind inside the mid fairing....there will be a little black round **** that you twist......just above the motor.......this turning it clockwise will increase idle speed....hence, counterclockwise will decrease the idle.....

Hope this helps cover the idle part anyway...its too easy

Factory setting is 1200 plus or minus 100, so 1100 to 1300 is OK. I like it idling on the high side, so I set mine at 1400. Helps keep geek newbe's like me from stalling at stop lights, which is embarrassing when you are in full riding gear on a world class race bike - I suck, what can I tell you.

Haha, Yeah Im not use to this bike yet I have stalled a couple of times, I am trying to get the hang of the powerband. Its a whole lot different than my zx6r was.

Haha thnx for the idle switch thing, I am going to go check it out now.

What do you mean by "Cam"? Do you have after market cams installed? If so a power commander is a must and you could stand a chance of running lean with out it.
