idle screw question.??
my 97 cbr600 f3 for some reason i have to like everyday adjust the idle
cause after riding i guess vibration moves it. any one else seen or have this issue i'm thinking of making the adjustmen at the cable instead of the screw on the side.??especially when the temp is real hot outside it gets worse.
also does any body knows what is the volume specs on the fuel pump meaning PSI thanks

does it turn without any resistance? There should be some resistance that will hold it from moving once its adjusted. I think there is a spring that does helps keep it where its adjusted, but not sure on that bike. Might something to check into.
I wouldn't adjust it at the throttle. You want to have some freelplay in the throttle, and if you take out all of the slack, it will give you a very touchy throttle. Some actually like not having any slack, but I've never seen anyone control the idle at the throttle. Also, I don't think you would have it consistant anyway. The idle adjuster is a hard stop, where the cable may not return to the same idle every time. I would imagine you would a few hundred rpm variance.
I would tear into the idle adjuster and see why its not holding the correct idle. I would even rather just tape the adjuster in place so it can't move once its adjusted versus using the throttle cables to control idle. It would get you buy for a bit, but I would still want to fix it the right way.

You'd probably be better off starting a thread in the F3 section for this F3 specific stuff.
I could be wrong, but my understanding is that the fuel pump on the Carb-ed F3 is more like providing a flow to the carb bowls, instead of a pressurized fuel rail like a fuel-injected bike uses. The F3 svc manual only specs the pump with a flow rate of 700cc minimum per minute.
Troubleshooting would mean you could undo the fuel line from the pump, let whatever fuel is in the line to drain, then get a measuring cup, turn the key on for 5 seconds, then off. You should get about 1/4 cup of fuel delivered by the pump in that 5 secs.*edit* forgot a step - to make the pump run continuously, you have to disconnect the fuel cut-off relay and short the black and black/blue wire terminals with a jumper.
