New Exhaust HTEV must go!!!
So I installed my MIG high mount exhaust. Amazing btw here's some pics.

I purchased this used for $150, smokin deal except it took me awhile to get the lower mid pipe. I had to chop off the bottom mounting tab from the factory exhaust and weld it to the lower mid pipe as it was broken. I also took a wire wheel to the mid pipe and cleaned the carbon build up and melted shoe gum off. I then took some acrylic clear coat and hit the carbon fiber again as the old clear was peeling. And I must say it looks very new again.
Now onto the HTEV, I didn't mind so much the surge with the stock exhaust it was easy to compensate for, this new exhaust really changed things though. The surge is huge, when the HTEV opens up you know it, not only by the drastic change in sound but this exhaust really hits hard. This wouldn't be so bad but I live in a small town and speed limits are mostly 25mph. The new pipe cruises at 25 right on the bubble of the HTEV opening and closing, it's really hard to keep up with it since the bike just wants to go once that sucker opens up. So I will most def be fixing the HTEV open and removing the flapper. Eventually I will be going to a HASS eliminator, I'm pretty sure with the 3/4 MIG it's the way to go. I will do a PCIII and custom tune when I do the eliminator. I really like this bikes power now with the exhaust. I feel like these things were really hurt in sales and power by the all around factory exhaust, if only people knew what we knew about there potential there wouldn't be so many good deals out there on them.
