Default me old knees .. :)

Okay .. I am getting older. I replaced my seat with a Corbin and my bum is happy. The downside is that there is an extra load on my knees courtesy of the 1.5" lower seat height.

So, does anyone know if there are adjustable foot peg plates available for the 929? Or would I need to get them made up? Ideally, I want to keep the existing pegs and levers (so no new rear-sets) and allow for a range of peg placement (for touring (lower, more forward) versus track work (higher, further back)).

Anyone gone down this route?

No one makes kit to make the pegs lower to the ground, defeats the purpose of a sportbike and limites your turning abilities. You're better off making your own or downing some glucosmine/condrotion before each ride to lubricate your knees. Fish Oil probably wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Thanks, Triax ..

I was thinking that I may have to fabricate a set. My idea would be to, at a max limit, drop them by about 0.5" and to also give me a little more space about the shifter. Not going to lose that much clearance, and if I am scraping something in "touring mode" then I am riding too hard for the conditions ;-)

As to the glouco and fish oils, I am sinking so much of that stuff now I almost think that I am keeping Costco afloat with my purchases. The other thing will be to stretch a lot more..

I can relate to the knee creaking and have been downingvarious supplements the past year or so to stay afloat on me ol' sportbike. Not sure if I'm coating my joints or just lining the pockets of pharmaceutical companies.

There's a dude who fabricates these for 929's and some other bikes also. They're designed to raisethe pegs but perhaps he can reverse the template and offer something at a reasonable price, perhaps worth an e-mailto him.
