Key Incident
Hello Guys,
I misplaced the key to my CBR929RR and am currently using the spare but unfortunately the spare just broke and as you know, the H.I.S.S will not allow any other kind of key start the bike. I went to Honda in Egypt and they are saying that they do not have the tools to register a new key with the bike and the only solution is to order a new system for my from abroad which had an estimate of about $1700. That is just an amount am not ready to spend on an ignition system... does anybody have a solution for me because this is the first dealership i have gone to that lacked proper working tools

I recently read in road racing world people are stealing bikes by simply cutting the wires to the ignition and wiring in they're own. Matter of fact this is how my 900RR was stolen from the last owner. Might look like hell but won't cost 1700 bucks, that sounds like they are tryng to get over on you man.

Don't tell anyone
I think you can use a new cut key it will not have the chip but you can take the old key and mount it hidden hear the ignition and that should give the signal needed for the bike to by pass the security system. I don't know if this will work for sure but it is how they put wireless starter systems on newer vehicles
