I just put the valve back in tonight and I left it in the half open position. Well see how it runs tomorrow. I tried this with and without the airbox flapper installed. Any input would be great.

I also got a brand new fuel pressure regulator a few days ago so thats nothing.
Wish I knew more about em, but with the HTEV stuff, I would go full open on it. Mine sounded like it was running on three cylinders with it closed (like a Ducati or new R1 LOL). From everything I've seen, pinning the flapper in the airbox is also a must. When I rotated to open (I guess, it looks about the same both ways) it stopped sounding like a Duc and ran how I was used to. Like I said, I haven't ran it on the track yet, but that will be the real test. When it went out, I was only hitting about 150mph down the back straight of Mid-Ohio, where I was hitting 165+. Not very scientific I know, but pretty straight up, seat of pants stuff and really that's all I got.
This is for a 954, but again, from what I've seen, the 929's seem to have the same issues.

Cheers,
Phil

I put the valve back in and only to half open and it runs a ton better now. Its quieter now but it definitely has more power and isn't sputtering anymore. Even with the airbox flapper in.

google search pdfruth and get you the exact same thing for $25..... or you can make one (all you have to do is solder a plug onto the module) for $15. i had his- and it worked great. you just plug it in and tape it to the harness. no code. there have been a few others on here that have them (letsride has one and bought mine) - he's had no problems.

Oh thanks, that's a ton of help I read this whole thread and didn't find any info if one had been built. Which brings me to my next question is this my best source for 929 knowledge or should I try other places to?

After taking it to the track in Mar with the Bazazz and AFM installed, I can tell you it is definitely a lot faster. I still haven't eliminated the FI light with the bypass, but that's just more of an annoyance. It still stumbles a bit below 3k, but since it's a track bike the only time I see that is when I'm pitting or heading out.
There have been very few bikes that I can't keep up with or outrun in a straight line.
