Default how do i mount a windscreen?!!

my bike came with race bodywork,,,,so i had to cut out the shape for the headlight...what a bi*ch..
anyway i got i tinted windscreen and anodized bolt kit that comes with the bolts, plastic washers, and rubber grommets that have the gold threads inside half of it.
I drilled out six holes the same size of the holes on the windscreen but thats obvi not right because the bolt will move around. also idk how the grommet is supposed to be and hold the windscreen in place. ill fiberglass the holes in and drill ones the size of the bolt, but how do the grommets work.?? do i put the in with the hat part on top, threads on bottom?? do the like spread out like a bar end as you tighten it and thats what holds it in place??? if anyone can send pics of the windscreen off or hows its mounted??
thanks.

on the rubber grommet with the threads you put those on the windscreen flat part on top and threads on bottom. the ones that sit above the upper fairing stay will slid into the 2 holes on the fairing stay (2 per side). washer and bolt go togather, and bolt into place. if they are spinning (rubber grommets), just grab and hold while you tightin. they will compress the tighter they are.....if you need me to snap a few shots of mine then i will.....
