Help!!!!!!!!! With exhaust idea... Need advice/opinions!!!!!!
I seen a post on fireblades.org about someone making a custom exhaust for their CBR929RR... basically what it entails is he purchased a two brothers M2 muffler and bent the piping under the rear tail and heat wrapped it down to the muffler... since the muffler was carbon fiber it didnt cause a threat to heat up too much..... so what do you guys think doable?? also where can i buy just a muffler carbon fiber two brothers M2....
I CURRENTLY HAVE A CARBON FIBER D&D EXHAUST AND I THINK THE TWO BROTHER WILL SOUND MUCH BETTER/ LOOK WAYYYYYY BETTER UNDER THE TAIL WHERE IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON ALL THE BIKES!!!
LET ME KNOW I REALLY WANT TO DO THIS MOD.

When I did the exhaust for a car I ordered mandrel bent U-shaped pipe and flanges. You can cut the 180deg bends to give the exact curves you need and either weld it yourself or tape it together and mark it for a shop to weld it. If you can't seem to find flanges for sale, most smaller prototyping shops will either have a waterjet or a plasma and can make them off of your stock exhaust and the new can.
The only reason I say buy the 180deg bends and cut them is because the welds will be covered with heat wrap and never seen. If you wanted it polished or anything I would have a shop bend it out of one piece, but that will obviously be more expensive than doing most of the work on your own.
