HELP....2001 929 FI light and running rich
Just wondering if anybody could help me, i have been searching forums and asking around and cannot get a clear solution. I bought a 2001 CBR929RR a few months ago, rode the bike for 2 months it ran fineand then put it up for a few weeks, i go out and the battery is dead it had been really cold, but i charged it a cranked the bike up and it ran horrible. The FI light has been on since i got it but didnt seem to affect it, but the bike is running really rich. The plugs are completly black and smell like gas and it will not crank unless i clean or replace the plugs it will run but the next day it wont crank and throws raw gas out the exhaust. The FI code is 34, the bike has headwork and cams, that the only mods i know. the airbox has no flapper, anybody have any idea what i can do to get this thing running, im not sure if the servo motor is still on there i cant find a good pic to see the location of what it looks like

RE: HELP....2001 929 FI light and running rich
test the battery and make sure it is fully charged and putting out full amps, replace if low and see if that helps, i know some fuel injection systems/sensors will act funny with out the proper amperage and will sometimes supply too much fuel. or you could check the flapper valves in your exhaust, i know they sometimes get stuck closed and make the bike run like crap. hope this helps.

RE: HELP....2001 929 FI light and running rich
i tested the battery not to long ago it seems to hold charge and is putting out 12.7, from what i can tell the servo motor has been taken off the bike if it is located behind the throttle bodies to the left then it is gone, and need to know if i need to put it on or if i can do something to it, im sure it has something to do with the FI light and running rich
