So I cleaned my K&N filter the other day and it REEKED of gas. Also when I am riding you can smell gas pretty bad. I mean its not horrible but its pretty noticeable. The guy I bought the bike from said he has no idea if I has a jet kit. Once I get it all back together im going to take it to school and have my teacher help me sync them.

What gives?

I have a picture the inside of my carbs but its on the camera not the computer. Ill get it up probably tomorrow.

Do you kno all the correct settings for the valves. Also check the numbers on the jets and make sure they are the correct ones. if your air filter is that wet it sounds like the carbs are leaking all the time its running. check the float hieghts.

No i dont know the settings.

I will probably wait until I clean them again since I just cleaned them and put it back together, ill check the numbers then. I wasn't sure if you could tell from a pic or not.

The filter wasn't "wet" it just smelt like gas fumes.

As for floats how would they be out of adjustment? And if they are how would you fix it?

Also as for them "leaking" what would be leaking?

Sorry about all the questions, just trying to fix all the little bugs..

Thanks for the time..
