Default heatshield vibrating?

My 2001 929 has what sounds like a heatshield vibrating. Not doing anything to the bike, but just annoying. Anyone else have this problem before, and how did you fix it. Only does it between 3500-4500 RPM's. Thanks

check the headers where they bolt to the motor and make sure your not missing any of the mounting bolts. had the same thing happen a few years back and it end up being the header bolt missing

mine is also, what are they supposed to be torqued to? Are there any other things that could cause a vibration noise?

Found out what it was. I had a loose bolt on the front fender. When it got to 3500 RPM's bang, thats when I had the noise. So it could be anything. Rev it till it starts doing it, then start grabbin' parts, that's what I did.
