Yes, please post the fix. Not that it'll help the lazy ones...Kinda like the posts that pops up every other week regarding "How do I set my clock"...

Sorry so late on the reply, but after we tore the fairings off and got to lookin into the harness we discovered a bad ground on the bike. They had it grounded to the aluminum that bolts up to the steel right by the front forks. So after grounding it onto just steel i got twelve volts back and followed the haynes on rewiring the tailight and took the converter out. Now my headlights and signals and brake lights all work with no problems at all. i do need to find after market tail lights to finish the job. Thanks again for everyones help i appreciate it

my bike has the same problem. i do not have any wires grounding to anything near the front forks. you said it was grounded to the aluminum that bolts up to steel by the right forks. the whole bike is made of aluminum, where is this place located. the only ground that i can find on the frame under the gas tank. if you could be a little more specific i would greatly appreciate it.

^ sounds like on his bike someone made a new ground spot , the reason you dont have it is because no one tampered with yours. im also assuming you dont have a converter box so what symptoms are you having

yeah, i have a tail light intergrater. i just got the shop manual today. i was reading the wires out with a multimeter and im not getting the readings im supposed to. all the wireing checks good in the front of the bike, but the wires at the tail light are not right. 2 of the 3 wires are good, the other wire is not checking out correctly. im going toremove the intergrator and re-wire the tail up correctly. it is looking like the intergrator is the problem. if theres any suggestions im open to any. if that fixes it i will post up the answer and how i figured it out. thanks for the help

the intergrator shorted out and melted the huge gray wire connector next to the front forks. it is the connector that hooks the frame wiring harness to the headlight and guage cluster. it was melted good. the green gound melted and was shorting out. the ground system was getting energized with about 8 volts. i had to chip and reform the connector. after I fixed that all the lights work good. i rewired the tail correctly and the lighting system is perfect, but now i dont have spark to the plugs. i must have messed something up while i was fixing the light problem. i just saw a tread that talked about the kick stand sensor. i gonna check that next. but the intergrator is what messed the bike up. it was nice while it worked.
