I just looked at a 2001 cbr929 with 14xxx miles. the bike has a some scratches and has a rebuild title because of it. (suposedly dropped at 10mph). the bike has a few things like exhaust and the power comander. he wants $4900 obo for it. Does this sound like a good deal or?? because i know it is def one of the cheapest ones ive found, at least here in az. thanks for any feedback

 

to me, the price would be good WITHOUT the salvage title. around here (indiana) the average price for a 929 is around 5-6 grand. i would hold out for one with a clean title.

 

yea, $4900 is too much for a salvaged bike

 

to high..salvage title ones should be around 3500.00 or less...If you look through the threads ibekevman just bought his 929 for under that with a clean title and showroom condition.

 

Thanks for the replies and insight guys. It seems like out here in az an 01 goes for around 6,000 and above. I will either offer him way less or just hold out for a clean title.

 

I think there is some selling a rebuilt titled 954 in the classifieds for 4200.00 you could buy that have a newer bike and ship it

 

Thats too high. I just bought my 01 off the origional owner in perfect condition with 5,000 miles on it for $5300. You can do better than that.

 

Def way too high that guy is smoking crack if he thinks a salvage titled bike is worth that much. There are 2 stunted out 929s one of them has a 954 engine/swing-arm swap, going for 3000-3300 right now both clean titles. Ill take either of those bikes over any salvage title 929 unless the salvage bike is sold to me for like a grand hahaha.
