Did i get a good price?
whats up folks, i just contracted on a bike yesterday and i am planning to pick up the bike later today at noon. I just want to know if i got a good price or not. Heres a copy of my invoice... http://zclee.com/randomstuff/invoice.jpg
what kinda caught me off guard when we were discussing numbers was the dealer setup/handling fee of $840. so my monthly was a bit more than i anticipated.

$840 for Setup/handling?! holy *****! you're closer to Japan than most of us!
what's with the Credits? $1000? where did that come from?
i mean, i guess $8805 is a good price with all the crap you bought, just a little below MSRP anyway... i think i need to know more about this deal before i give my opinion.

credit aka down payment.
Its kind of a long story but i got this price from haggeling two dealerships. I went to Pflueger Honda since my friend bought a bike from them a couple weeks ago. I got a price from them and I was upset about the $840 setup fee so i left. Then i went to South Seas Honda, the only other Honda motorcycle dealership and they have just one RR in silver which they are selling for "full pop". Just so happens the two sales managers that i saw between the two dealerships used to work together now hate each others guts. I talked to the South Seas sales manager for about 30 minutes, i explained the price and he told me straight up thats ridiculously cheap. He then proceeded to print up a B.S. quote for me to go show the Pflueger Honda guys so i can get a better price. So basically the original price i got from Pflueger was about $250 more.
In a way i understand since i sell Honda cars for a living. There's 3 Honda automobile dealerships on the island and each has a pretty significant markup. Although we are competitive, it only goes to a certain extent. Especially when we sell a car with a huge demand like the Civic and Fit. And even more so when we know the other dealerships have nothing in stock.
