Just had another thought , check the central earthing point, its buried in the loom about the engine cylinder area , you will have to cut open the harness cover , but take care not to cut any wires , if that connector is burnt out it could be your trouble

tired all the above. The ECU is getting power and earth it reads the his key and primes the fuel pump. I will go over everything again just to make sure I haven't missed something.
cheers for all suggestions
will update when I have something to add.

I'd bet on that central earthing point being the culprit, open it up and look at the connections after you re-installed the harness one might be broken the Ignition pulse Generator unloads straight into that on Earth, here's hoping

As for the lights, check the tail bulbs. When one of the filaments breaks, sometimes it can lay across the other filament causing the circuit to cross.

thanks for everyone's help with this fault unfortunately it looks like it must be the ECU as I have tried everything ells and cant get hold of another ECU to check on the bike and not willing to spend £500
on a secondhand one. so have decided to part the bike out.
thanks again
Baz

Hi Baz ,still dont believe its the ECU, did you check the Hiss signal and voltage to the ECU from the Halo connection? be a shame to give up on it, can keep going until you dont want to any more:)
