Nope. It's not supposed to do that. Your brake light circuit is crossed with your illumination circuit. I'd bet there is more wrong with the lights than just that.

yes it happens when I press either brake.
cheers

all lights work as they should all connections are plug and play. cant go wrong the bike is a UK bike with HISS. the only reason I mentioned this is I am still getting no spark and thought it may be linked.
cheers

pull out the fuse protecting the signals and brake light and see if it still happens . (10amp fuse "C")

Hi
i am new to the forum my name is Baz I am having problems after fitting a new frame to my 929 everything worked before I fitted new frame but now it’s not sparking. The coils are getting 12v on the black white wire and when cranking the other one pulses a earth but not spark. Also any one know what the f1 error codes are . Any idea would be appreciated
cheers Baz.

Think we should go back to the start Baz, is your original ecu buggered or was it working previously, if so I'm sure we can get round that , it just might be a case of relays and earths causing your problem

Baz123bikes 05-08-2019 07:14 AM

pulled the fuse and clocks don't light up when brake is pressed.
all lights are stock.
regarding the ECU it was all working fine until I swapped the frame all the connections went back as they should tried starting it and turned over but wouldn't start I did all the usual checks and found there was no spark the fuel pump primes .
I know all the earth points are good . I have heard of ECU just stopping working on 929s but wanted to check everything ells before buying another expensive ECU.
cheers

Reckon you have a crossover somewhere on the brake line , multi meter or test lamp time, spark at the plugs could be something else, dont like to think its the ECU , have you checked ignition pulse sensor

Baz123bikes 05-08-2019 08:02 AM

yes checked both ign and cam sensors . its a strange one. I just don't believe a ECU can just pack up for no reason.

CaBaRet 05-08-2019 08:11 AM

Have you tried back probing the Green wire at the ecm for continuity to ground , and the same with back probing the Black/White wire at the ECU for voltage, just to prove there's continuity and 12v at the ECU
