Default Engine noise?

I have a pronounced whine and every once in a while a click or a little popfrom the clutch or area. I put my stethoscope everywere on the bottom end and am having a hard time pin pointing it. I cant say for sure where its coming from. Just about every sport bike I've owned has had some clutch whine but this takes the cake. Is there something in the exhaust system that could causethe pop. I'm new to this exhaust servo thing and don't fully understand it. Maybe its doing something it shouldn't? Is the oil pump closer to the right side? Has anyone else had some abnormal noise that could help me here? Thanks.

I did some more searching and think maybe the "pop" could be the htev? Sure sounds internal to me but you never know. This whine is starting to scare me. What does the htev thing do?

Maybe the chain needs to be tightened? also i have read alot about the exhaust on the 929 making a rattling sound.

Definetly not the chain. The popping could be the htev, but the whinning is something different. Anyone have a oil pump go bad?
