Electrical trouble
I knew it wasn't the beer last night, there is a clock fuse! My giant wiring diagram in the garage has fuse F (clock), 10A, and the sticker on the box says clock as well. I knew one of my bikes would let me set the time, but then reset over and over. I know your cluster won't let you set it at all so far, but check that fuse since it only takes a few seconds.
my bike just had this same issue just lastnight. i was just about to leave walmart and the electrical went all crazy just as you described. luckily i was riding with a buddy so he rode next to me so i could use his headlight for the ride home. i read this thread and went out to my bike, spit the connector, gave it the OG Nintendo blow and boom done it worked. im glad i decided to read up on this first before i started tearing into things... thanks cbrf! lol
