That's my friend Adam looking to buy the bike, I'm going with him later to check it out. Do these come off any of the 600cc bike and happen to fit ours? I was talking to him on the phone when he said there are holes in the seat frame. I told him, "wtf? our bikes don't have holes!" and pictured a homebrew swiss-cheese job on the whole thing. I'll update if he got the bike or not after we check it out. Thanks for the help everyone.

But that is not the subframe. the subframe is just above that, That is the lower support and has no shear force on it just compression force. It can have those holes and not lose its structural integrity. Im sure they were put there for appearance reasons.

looks like what drag racers used to do back in the day to lighten their frames on thier vehicles never seen it on a 929 though definately not factory

While this thread raised from the dead, I test rode a nice RC51 for him and it was purchased a few days ago. Those bikes are heavy but damn it sounds good. Thanks for all the input!
