Default cracked block

Hey, I'm new to the forum so here is the story; I took a spill a few years ago and cracked the block rite where the stator cover bolts on. I had 2 shops attempt to weld it but $1100 later and still leaks oil. So if anyone has a block or complete motor w/ less than 5k miles on it or if anyone nows someone good enough to fix it in the NYC area, let me know.

Thanks,
Gavin

i had the exact same problem with mine. 2 weeks after i bought it, it started leaking oil and well now i know why it had a salavage title.. anyway my old man is a mechanical welding genious and after trying to do it with jb weld he took some high grad high temp rubber and cut it out and shaped it to fit where the pice had broke out and put the rubber pice in. a new gasket and some silicon and it hasn't leaked since.
