Is there a trick to removing the coil off the spark plug? It seems to be on there really good and Im not wanting to break anything on my first spark plug change?

I just did mine the other day, they are pretty tricky. I just used a flat head screwdriver and popped them off. Just make sure when putting them back on they are all the way on. I found that to be harder then pulling them off.

When I did mine I gave the rubber boots a partial twist to loosen them, and then pulled em off exactly the way NixCbr said. Just curious - did you go in from the front (behind the radiator) or the top (under the tank)?

Default RE: Coil Removal Question

This is good advice... I'm doing this myself today... I managed to get them out, and removed/reinstalled new plugs... but how the hell do i get these coils back in? I can push them in up to those 3 rubber grooves... but no further... I did it from the top (i.e. removing airbox) so i don't have that much leverage... I tried using the end of a wrench against the frame rail to push it in, but no go...

Should i use some electric grease on there, or something? Or maybe drop the radiator and push them in from the other side? i can't imagine how it could be this difficult... my fingers and knuckles are RAW

Thanks
