clutch replacement
Hope somebody has the answer, I am about to replace my clutch plates on my 2000 cbr 929I have ordered the parts I needed except I can not find anybody who carries the gasket. I broke down and went to the dealership they told me therewasn't one in there book. I' ve searched all over the net.DoI use gasket maker?
From the service manual (youshould download it, it's available on this site): that's a seal made entirely from "three bond 1207B" and should be applied on all edges of the cover and in the small areas of the motor sideshown in the attached picture.

You canuse black RTV to form a gasket.Just apply a thin amount on both ends and then reinstall.Make sure you clean off the old sealant first. You can pick up the sealant at any auto supply shop.
