CCT Replacement Question

CCT Replacement Question
So I am replacing the CCT on my 929, but am a little confused exactly what the manual means when it says, "Turn the tensioner lifter shaft fully in (clockwise) and secure it using the stopper tool."
It appears that the new CCT already has the stopper tool in it from what I can tell. If I don't plan to re-use the old one, can I just remove it without turning it in and using the stopper?

Sure you can and the new one has the tool there already holding the plunger back for
installation - go for it man
People just suggest winding the old one back with a flat head screw driver to take tension
off - making it easier to uninstall the old one and gently taking tension of the chain
