was given a quote of $300 to swap a clutch assemblyt i guess from a 93 with a few thousand miles into my 94. said something like the clutch discs were wobbling or something and that was causing the rattle before it warms up. also said he could smell clutch in the oil dip stick

basically i wanna know if that a good price.

 

Sounds decent. This is a "doable" job if you're somewhat handy though..

 

it really isnt that hard to do, but for a new clutch it is around 200 just for parts, but as far as labor it is about 20 min longer than an oil change.
