CBR 929 wire keeps melting then blows fuse
I have a 2000 CBR 929 my fuse that is beside the fuse box under seat keep blowing and I have a melted wire going from computer to the relay that is attached under the seat it's a black and white wire any help would be great I've been trying to figure it out and cant
Yes I do have one and there isn't really mods it's basically stock I was driving one day home and my battery got really hot and swelled up then it died tried to jump it to get it home but it died instantly after I took cables off I had to trailer it home when I got home I had recently done at valve job and wanted to check everything so I took the valve cover back off everything was good so I put it back on got a new battery put the new battery in now fuse blows soon as I hit the kill switch on
This is main 30a fuse that's blowing?
You've obviously got power wire that's grounded. Simple to test and find:
1. pull ALL fuses
2. measure resistance (ohms, lowest scale) between each fuse-holder leg and chassis-ground (2-readings per fuse)
3. post all readings here.
Also post photo of wire that's melted. Will most likely need to cut it out and replace.

And the bl/w wire from the engine stop relay to the ecu is the one melted
I also should mention that I have no fi display and I also can't check for error codes.

So I've took the main harness out completely and I am going through the whole harness.i found some other issues with ground wires causing headlight to flash with turn signals and I'm going to replace black/white wire completely I'm hoping this fixes my issue any feedback would be appreciated I'm not so much new to wiring but I'm no expert and am however new to motorcycle wiring so I could definitely use any expertise anyone has

Be sure to slide on heat-shrink tubing before 2nd splice

Although there needs to be more than one melted wire to blow fuse.
