Cam chain guide replacement question
I am planning on replacing my CCT lifter on my 929 (35k miles) but accidentally ordered the chain guide that the tensioner pushes against instead.
My question is, am I able to replace the guide without removing the clutch assembly? And do the guides generally need to be replaced at this many miles?
I don't have time to pull the clutch cover before returning it. But if I do send it back I'll have to pay shipping, restocking, etc. so I'm just trying to determine if its easy to replace.
Thanks!

I too am replacing the tension adjuster, but discovered that THE ENGINE MUST BE DISMOUNTED AND LOWERED to gain access to one of the mount bolts!!!I did not see this surprise mentioned in other posts.Worse yet,the aftermarket APE manual adjuster seems out of the question, since it would be a PITA to adjust on the fly.And one word of caution:REPLACE YOUR SPARK PLUGS while you have easy access to them,or you will cry later!!!
