where did you get the fan switch from? it sounds like its bad still, or defective. when the coolant gets to temp, let it get to 230, see if you have continuity from the switch to ground. (the body of the switch should be making a good ground to the radiator.) the switch only completes the ground for the fans. it does exactly what you are doing when you ground the wire.

I got the fan switch from bike bandit which got it directly from honda... So switch is good.. I put the o ring on te threads and installed te switch... At one point the fans did go on automatically but out of nowhere stopped going on..

Makes no sense to me why?

I can always perm turn the fans on but will that damage them of they are always on???

test the switch anyway. new parts can be defective. it may just be a matter of loosening the switch 1/4 turn then tightening it back up to clean the ground. check the contact of that ground wire as well. paint and rust can cause a bad connection. you can test ground continuity to determine that the connections are good or not.

you would be better to put a manual switch to ground the fan rather than leaving them on all the time.

There has to be a logical solution to this, ok demon tell me what's my next step I'm all ears.. How do I test te switch I really want it to work normally... Because sometimes I may my notice the temp ad end up forgetting to manually turn on the fan.. This is why I want to get it working correctly ..

So what's my next step I will e home by 730 and that wil be the first thing I do!!

Also for those who wanted to see a easier way to do the plugs I will post pics once I get the overheating problem corrected when I open the tank again to check out the power commander issue.. Eta 1-3 weeks

use an ohm meter to find where your ground is being lost. go back through the previous posts. everything you need has been explained already.

My 2 cents. I have had an '01 929R for 10 years and still have it. I have only had an over heat prob once. And it was after I opened the cooling system(after a coolant flush). I returned home and properly "burped" the system to get ALL the air out and never had another issue with it. Second....I have done my plugs both ways: Under tank and Radiator. Being an FI bike I would recommend radiator way. The #4 cap was indeed a bitch but with proper tools all went well. Patience and proper tools ended in a job complete. Remember those fuel lines have high PSI and shouldn't be tugged and twisted. And of course we all know pulling the tank is a pain.

With all debrespect I must say I disagree personally pulling the gas tank and having open access to the plugs is better than dropping the radiator IMO .. I used the coils together the plugs put after loseinig them.. And it went very smooth... As far as gas lines u def dont need to even move then maybe our bikes are slightly different as far as tiny things but gas tank didn't need to be fully removed I used bungee cords to hold it up and put the tips into the screw holes of the tank and the other side into the muffler tip.. To each is own I gess but that made it a hell of a lot easier.

How much is 74demon getting??

And what do you mean by change the brake lines?? You want to go stainless steel? You want the rubber ones, just a new set? Which way you want to go depends on which ones to buy. I would say Stainless Steel Braided(haven't done the upgrade myself). I have heard, and someone who has done it will chime in, that it is a vast improvement. For me, If my brakes still work I ain't changing to SS.. well.. maybe..
