i bought a 2001 cbr 929rr its chromed out and i love it but i cant get it started when i turn it on and put it on run i hear the fuel pump working and when i crank it nothing i was wondering if it could be that i dont have a speedo gauge.

 

Its quite possible that the speedo completes a circuit and it wont start without it...

im sure someone else will chime in that knows for sure

 

that "shouldnt" be it! mine starts without a speedo

 

have any other ideas why it wont start i know the guy who sold it to me said it needed new plugs so im gonna do that tomorrow and i guess i have to take the radiator partially off to to that

 

what do you know the guy was right i put ngk in to replace my denso iridium plugs in 20 degree weather about 20 minutes ago and it fired right up with no speedoim gonna take it out for a spin once i get a new front rim
