Can anyone tell what kind of damper this is?????

 

Not really but if you can have the person measure the tank-mount mounting holes, you can see if it matches your bike. Also measure the triple mount and check it's diameter with yours.

 

Very hard to say unless it is etched on the barrel somewhere. My guess this is off a Gixxer and is a frame to fork leg mount, so Suzuki OEM. Though it is only a guess.

I am pretty sure that those mounts wont work for a 929. If you meansure the barrel, you may be able to get some mounts that will fit 916-style.

 

well the guy selling it "says" he bought it for his 929 a couple years ago, but sold the bike and never mounted it but hes not sure of the brand... sounded a lil fishy to me, so i thought ide ask my 929 fellas

 

hmmmm...looks like a factory damper from a gixxer...make sure its compatible before you put this on if you decide to...

 

Unless it has markings, it looks like a shindy/daytona. If the fork clamp is 50 mm they you might be able to just get a different hind-joint bracket. Most of the dampers I've ever worked with for the 929 and 954 were either mounted to the same bolt locations as your upper fairing stay or were top of the triple clamp mount.
