I can't help you in choosing a resistor, not my area of expertise. If it were mine, I'd replace the switch.

If you can find the right one, maybe wire it inline and make it removable. That'd be a great security feature.
Glad to hear its all figured out! You're almost back on the road.

Yep wiring it inline and having it removable is what I had in mind. Thanks again! Greatly appreciated

I don't think that it's discussed in the manual either.
I'm at a similar issue, I see fuel being injected looking down the throttle body but no fire. New charged battery, 9.23v pink wire at pig tail from ignition switch. I put a new plug in the coil and laid it on the engine to see if I had spark, I did not. I got park when I grounded the engine to batt neg. But still won't fire. Do have some intermittent spudderi g.

it's not resistor, but 4.7v zener diode. And ALL guides on internet has you installing it backwards and bike still won't start!

Best to get OEM Factory ignition-switch from authorised Honda dealer. Will work correctly 1st time around. No wasting endless time and money swapping parts, blowing countless fuses and going bald with head-scratching.
