Anyone ever seen a 210 Tire on a 929 factory Rim

 

Don't know man. I've heard a 210 will rub on the chain...



In before the inevitable "but it will ruin the handling" post.

 

Never seen it done, but not to say it hasn't been. Go to some local bike nights, you may see it there.

The 210 will mount on the stock rim, but will not be the ideal setup for that tire. The stock 190 runs pretty close to the swing arm, chain, and chain guard as it is. The extra width may cause some clearance issues.

 

I've used 195 and 200 whit no problem but never tried a 210.

 

I'm using a Custom Swingarm so I'm just wondering what's the widest Tire that can Fit on a Factory 929 rim.

 

You can force just about any tire on the rim, but the tire will be distorted. Look at the recommended rim size for the tire you want to put on from the tire manufacturer. The stock rim is 6 inches wide.

 

If you're using the OEM cush drive/OEM wheel - it doesn't matter what swing arm you're using. The cush drive is what holds the chain - and I've heard on a 210, it will rub. I'm sure a 210 would fit on the rim - but I'm not sure it would work with the Cush drive

 

I use a 200 on my 954 with no problems.My rule of thumb is 1 size smaller or 1 size bigger.Any thing else you'll be looking at potential problems.
