You cab technically use the up to 97 and use the same fairing stay = the 95's used the same as 93-94 and had the 96-97 head light; however, the gauge stay, gauges, and tank (which requiressome modding on the frame or tank) are not the same. Tanks fit without modifications for 96-99; but the petcock is different 96-97 & 98-99. Wireharnesses are different as well = the speedometer reading is different (93-94 on a speedocable off the front wheel, 95-97 on the sprocket cover, 98-99 on the crank) basically you if you wish to use the same speedo, cut it off and have it welded on the 95-97 front stay. the 95-99 stays have supports for the headlight on the stay to prevent the bulkier headlight from cracking off on the front upper fairing.

Good luck

I would never change out those dual headlights, esp. on the first year the 900rr came out

To me that is the classic, 900rr look that started the revolution!

But that's just me

Here's mine with AirTech Fiberglass fairings with a new (kinda ****ty) gloss black paint job. It was all done before I got it.
