i got mine up to 165 with mods it was still going but slowly after that plus its a bitch to hang on to going that fast

 

165 on mine it said on the speedo. thats with -2 on the rear, full d&d system, rear jacked up 30mm. possibly still had a little more but the front started a little wobble so i eased off, felt like wheel imbalance. thats straight up truth. dunno what you mean by its "hard to hang on at that speed".

 

they go fast enough to kill you lets just say that...

 

I had mine at Nashville Speedway and Putnam Park this fall and I don't know how fast I was going down the straightaways........I was too busy hanging on for dear life to look!

 

I have a 95 two bro pipe jetted topped at 172 mph however im installing a single swing arm to her looking to reduce some weight any other suggestions for more speed?

 

^^ Haha yea that's not going to make you.go faster... only thing that's going to make you go faster is re gearing or.inside the engine work like port and polish, and internal upgrades because when your bike tops our your engine is spinning as fast as it can reducing weight wont change your top speed. If your engine is topped out you will have to either put in a ton of time or.money or both to increase your top speed.

 

The fastest i have gotten is 165. I was only at 9500rpm so I know i had more to go.

 

what mods have you got. Because at the end of the straight at Portland International Raceway I can only get 157mph with filter and yoshimura..jet kit is in a few weeks. Yes I need new cheek pads in my helmet as it wants to rip off my head! I was hoping for about 165 this spring.

 

I was clocked out at150 on my 2000 honda cbr 900rr and I was in 4th gear but I weigh 165 and that was coming from a officer here in Henderson tx
