Default hard to start when hot.....

hello fellow rider i have a 1994 honda cbr 900rr was told i had a bad starter...when my bike gets hot and i shut it off to start it i have to let it cool down otherwise it sounds like my battery is going dead wreeeh wreeeh wreeeh when it cools down its starts fine no problem at all.... just put a new starter in it and still does the same.... any suggestions???? its not overheating fan turns on at 220 motor is fine might be god knows what..

You mean the starter is turning but not engaging the engine? or it is engaging but just not cranking hard enough to turn the motor over? Not sure if the starter solenoid is separate from the starter, but think that it is. The clymer's manual indicates that they are magnetic mechanical solenoids so they would seem to be affected by heat soak, just like in older cars. Did you already replace the solenoid when you replaced the starter?

the starter is new and is seperate from the solenoid it does turn over the engine but with very little power as if the battery is almost dead..i havent checked on the solenoid might be it not sure..

I would bet the problem was simply a bad battery.
