top speed?
I hit an INDICATED 150mph, and it was still climbing a bit. Speedometers aren't 100% accurate. They are usually about 10% optimistic (ie it says 150, but you are really doing 135ish). Using a radar, the 1992 900rr will do 165 flat out. Anything way above that is most likely error in the speedometer.
They didn't start to govern bikes until 2001 or so in the U.S. and speedos are usually 10-15%off at those high speeds. Most liter bikes, even with 170+ hp at the rear wheel barely hit the 180's. Sorry but it's reality.
Hey grubeda, I'm not saying it is impossible, just dont rely on the speedo for an accurate reading. And those tuned vettes will have the same error in their speedo too, so you can't go by that (even the electronic speedos)
