Starts and then wont start WTF
Ok the bike starts after a ride it acts like the battery is dead had to push start it twice. The bike runs fine but this whole starting thing is pissing me off.
It has a new battery
one thing is the cover on the left side of the motor get way hot like as hot as my exhaust?
any Ideas?

It's most likely the stator if it's on the left and yes alternator and stator are the same thing. You might want to check the reg/rec on the right side under the fairing by the seat. They are notorious for going out and/or getting really f*ing hot. When they go out they usually take the battery and/or stator with them. CHeck the wiring under your seat, the 3 yellow wires frrom the stator to the reg/rec like to fry. I just had to replace all mine. While you're there check the 3 yellows from the stator to see if they have continuity to ground if so your stator is fried. Check to see what your battery is charging at (at 5k rpm should be around 14.5 or so if I remember right) Also check the stator to make sure it's pumping out the required voltage (about 50 volts at 5k rpm, again from memory so I might be off a bit) then check the reg/rec for proper resistance between the 5 connectors (check the shop manual for the specs, or holler at me and I can post them up). If your stator or reg/rec went out replace them both to be safe, if not, one might fry the other.
Do a search on here and google for more info on the reg/rec. (reg/rec = regulator/rectifier if you didn't know)

Post em up and I will check em tomorrow

Here you go sir, good luck. It didn't scan the edge of the page but the top says "green" and infinity signs going down.

sweet I will have to send you some heel guards or better yet a goody I just mde you would like. You know that caverness opening in the front of the bike where you see all the wires, lights and cabels?
Hey Ghusar this is what my 3 yellow stator / reg wires looked like. They looked about the same on the reg/rec too. Didn't look bad at all going to the stator though.

This is after I did my thing on them with a new connector, heavier wire, heat shrink tubing and dielectric grease.

and I did this just because
