Default smoothing out rough idle

96 CBR 900 W/
Jardine Slip On,
FP APK Kit.

#138 inner, #140 Outer Main Jets.

I recently did a full carb clean which helped quite a bit. however I noticed the main jets were installed with #140 on the outside, and #138 on the inside. Of all teh reading I've done the larger jets go on the inside. Yes no ? Also shoudl the needle valves be the same height all the way accross or should the inner ones also be higher ?

Needle valves should always be the same. Those are quite large mains for your setup...it pulls strong on topend??

It pulls strong but my milage is crap, only getting maybe 30mpg. I have to find the old jet kit and I'm thinking of going down to #134. the guys over at Factory Pro suggested using the 138. This is based on the APK kit which replaces the airbox innards
