Default Slipping Clutch

Hi everybody.

Noticed today (first ride out of the season), that my clutch is slipping. This happens when the rev's hit the power band, for example when overtaking.

Last season I noticed a vagueness when changing gear, I think (hope),this may be linked to the worn clutch as well, also the clutch lever seems to be getting quite stiff (or is it just me getting older and weaker )

I just wanted to ask those on here with experience of this job, is it worth buying the parts in advance, or is it best to get the clutch apart and then see what needs replacing.

I've never changed a clutch before, so any advice is most welcome.

Thanks guys.

I'd go for the second option, strip down ,measure tolerances and then see what you need

Cheers Bill, didn't know weather to just blitz the whole thing.

Any recommendations for parts? I was thinking of going the EBC route, but I noticed WE Moto also do Geco clutches as well.

They're just down the road from me, so I'll probably get the parts from them.

Got a week off soon, so I'll try to tackle the job then.

Usually get my proper parts from Wemoto
Honda CBR 900 RRT/RRV (CBR 919) Fireblade SC33 96-97 Parts at Wemoto - The UK's No.1 On-Line Motorcycle Parts Retailer
and my cheaper ones from Motorcycle Produucts

Always good stuff from Wemoto, but yeh I'd strip down first to see
