Thumbs up RRX cdi connector help?

Hey everyone.

I have a 99 model cbr900 rrx. I have an issue with the small pin like connectors that enter the cdi box. The issue is that the previous owner (for whatever reason) got rid of the plug that connects the wiring harness into the cdi and simply connected each pin directly into the holes inside the cdi. This all worked out fine until the harness was resently removed as the frame went in for powder coating. Several of the pins were extracted and now the mechanic doesnt know which colour wire enters which hole.

I have been searching online for pics of the connector or some indication of which wire enters which hole but have had no luck. Are there any members here that could provide me with some kind of colour mapping or a perhaps a close-up picture of the wires?

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

Matt
PS: here is a pic of a cdi unit with numbers to hopefully make it easier for members to respond.

1)x 2)yellow/white 3)pink 4)x 5)yellow/green 6)lightgreen 7)yellow/red stripe 8)blue/yellow stripe

9)yellow 10)green 11)blue 12)x 13)black/white 14)green/white 15)red/yellow stripe 16)yellow/blue stripe

What are the first 2 pictures of in your album? And what did you do to get rid of the rear turn signals? I cant make out your pictures . Let me know if you need anything else.

Smile RRX cdi connector help?

Hey cchristanis!

Bro, you rock! Thanks for this!! I do owe you big time

Oh, I forgot about those pictures in the album. I think they first two are when I first got the motorcycle, the one tappet cover bolt had broken off. I had posted questions regarding a fix.

My rear turn signals are now integrated into the sides of the brake light. I think it neatens it all up a bit. I should be getting my bike back next week with a whole bunch of improvements. Will post some updated pics.

Thanks again for your efforts mate!!
