If you are sitting on the bike the rectifier will be on your right side, under the rear tail section \ fairing.

Awesome... got it off and waiting on a new one i bought off ebay.. Thanks...

One more question, The reg/rec controls how much voltage goes to the battery, so with the old one still on its holding around 12.5 at idle.... and goes up to maybe 12.7 is that normal for a bad reg/ ref or a bad stator? Or is that the stator is good but the rec/ reg is just not letting the voltage it should through to the battery?? thanks guys

hey man check your wiring harness connected to the reg/rec, every once in a while a bad reg/rec will melt or char the inside of the harness you may have to replace that also so you get a solid connection. i believe honda sells just that wiring harness aloneif its bad.just my thoughts.

Once you get your new rec make sure you have a voltage of 13.8-14 volts. This is tested by using a VOM (Volt Ohm Meter). Place the VOM to the battery start the bike turn on the high beams on and rev the engine to 5000 rpms then read the VOM. If you are not getting the correct voltage check the continuity of the stator with a common ground if you have continuity then you have a short in the stator. You can check the Ohm value between the three wires also to make sure there is no more than .3 ohms.

A buddy of mine fried his stator because his rec malfunctioned causing the stator to over charge.
