Problems with cbr900?

I am going to look at a 98 900 today, and I was wondering of any common problems on cbr 900 that I should look for. I know the odometer doesn't work. Any ideas what would cause this? Thanks.

The only thing ive heard of is check the electrical system. 900s are know to be hard on them.

Well, the bike was rough for price. The engine was running on 2 maybe 3 cylinders.[:-] One was hot, next kinda hot, warm and cold. lol
