Too lean of a mixture would certainly cause premature plug wear. Detonation is bad on things.

Gixxereater beat me to it. It's most likely your air/fuel mixture.

Add fuel to the air/fuel mixture. LOL. Put more gas in the tank?

No, you need to rejet. What do you have for mods? Aftermarket pipe, air cleaner, cams? Anything like that? Either way, you need to basically let more fuel flow through the carbs via larger jets. This is a fairly easy task, but if you dont pay attention to what you're doing it's easy to get lost and not know where to go from there. Make notes of what jet sizes are in now for idle jets, intermediate jets, and main jets. Note the needle height. If you are new to bikes it may behoove you to take it in and have it redone by a reputible shop.If you want to tackle this I'm sure we can find you an article on the internet telling one how to do this in a constructive way. It's pretty much a trial and error job anyway unless you have the exact same set up asanother person and they KNOWwhat they have in their carbs. Let us knowwhat you think.

sorry for late reply guys... no mods, only Yoshi RS3 pipe but it has been there for a while. no one is confident enough of rejetting the carbs. Bro here in fiji islands there is not one proper bike shop, let alone mechanics. anything and everything has to be brought in from Australia or New Zealand. even simple things like plugs i got from Auz. So what can i do? :-(
